Sustainable feeding
We are improving our recipes by selecting more sustainable ingredients while keeping our high quality standards. For example, we prioritize sources such as white meats and fish, which have a lower impact on carbon emissions (tCO2eq/kg ingredient) over red meats.
A plastic revolution
We are committed to contributing to the reduction of the use of virgin plastic. Therefore, by 2030, 30% of the plastic we will buy for our packaging will be recycled. Besides, we guarantee the recycling requirements in our packaging by partnering with ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), expert in sustainability verification and auditing.
Renewable electricity
To produce our dry food recipes, we use electricity from 100% renewable sources in our factories, reducing carbon emissions and supporting the development of green electricity.
Proudly local
We are proud to be part of the communities we serve, investing locally in our factories in Spain, France, and Italy, supporting jobs that in turn have an impact on local economies.
Our commitment to the future
We are conscious that these steps take time and that the process we’ve embarked on is a long term commitment.
But we have started placing one foot after another in order to achieve our very specific, long-lasting and ambitious goal for 2050: become Net Zero, which means progressively reducing the generation of greenhouse gas emissions from our activities and across the various links in our value chain.
In other words, ensuring Affinity’s activities and products while simultaneously reducing our emissions.
